Kun Yang

Prof. Kun Yang, head of Zhejiang Ocean University’s Ocean Connectivity Lab, specializes in land-based maritime communication with 15+ years of experience. A pioneer in maritime 5G, he led the world’s first 5G project focused on LTE, wi-fi and massive MIMO in maritime environments. His team developed a maritime 5G solution promoted globally by leading 5G platforms. Prof. Yang’s research, including 60+ SCI/EI papers, spans radio channel modeling, massive MIMO and unmanned ship applications. He has been a speaker at major conferences including the 5G World Summit and Autonomous Ship Symposium, with his work featured by Bloomberg, Nasdaq and others.
